2024 Pre-Showcase Intensives
Back by popular demand, we will again offer Pre-Showcase Intensive sessions. These sessions will focus on building your confidence in using CtLC for specific applications or helping you learn to share CtLC with others. All Pre-Showcase Intensives take place on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 1pm to 5pm at the Westin Kansas City at Crown Center.
Introduction to Charting My LifeCourse Curriculum
Are you looking for a way to empower people you support as they explore, plan, problem-solve and make decisions for their good life? The LifeCourse Nexus has developed Charting My LifeCourse, a new curriculum designed to help individuals of all abilities develop their vision for a good life, explore life experiences, and identify the supports they need. Join us for this workshop to experience Charting My LifeCourse as a first step to earning a Badge to train others using this curriculum. Learn by doing, as you develop a person-centered portfolio and brainstorm how it can be used to support people to communicate and advocate. Develop knowledge and skills to support others in using the framework and tools in their day to day life and for formal planning processes.

Introduction to Charting My Family’s LifeCourse Curriculum
Do you encourage families with individuals of all abilities and ages to explore, plan, problem-solve, and make decisions for a good life? The LifeCourse Nexus has developed Charting My Family’s LifeCourse, a new curriculum designed to help families develop their vision for a good life, explore life experiences, and identify the supports they need. Join us for this workshop to experience Charting My Family’s LifeCourse as a first step to earning a Badge to train others using this curriculum. Learn by doing, as you develop a family perspective portfolio and brainstorm how it can be used to develop knowledge and skills to support individual members and their family unit’s good life.

LifeCourse Meeting Facilitation Methods Badge
Are you looking for ways to apply the Charting the LifeCourse principles and tools as you plan and prepare to engage and facilitate groups? The LifeCourse Nexus has combined existing facilitation badges into a new and improved Meeting Facilitation Methods Badge. Join us for this workshop to learn how, why and when to use the various Charting the Lifecourse principles and tools for every aspect of a meeting. Participants will receive specifics on facilitating Charting the LifeCourse in Action learning collaboratives, Network or Community Partner meetings, and Innovation Roundtables. This workshop will be an interactive, peer-learning session, with opportunity to enhance your facilitation skills using the Charting the LifeCourse framework and tools.

If you have received the individual facilitation badges in the past, you will not need to participate in this workshop.
Charting the LifeCourse Skill Building Series
Have you heard about Charting the LifeCourse and feel the excitement around the person-centered framework that enhances exploration, problem-solving, and planning? Join us for this workshop and experience how the Charting the LifeCourse person-centered framework is a philosophy that can be used to support all people. This workshop provides instruction and practice for professionals to apply the key concepts and tools of the Charting the LifeCourse framework in their day-to-day work.
