Protector of the Principles

Jane manages LifeCourse fidelity and provides content and product development for the LifeCourse Nexus team. She specializes in supporting families, supported decision making, and family leadership and training. Jane was instrumental in the development of the Charting the LifeCourse framework and products, and supports the National Community of Practice for Supporting Families. Additionally, she currently serves on the Missouri Guardianship Statutory Reform Task Force, Mo-WINGS, and leads the Missouri Consortium for Supported Decision Making. Jane earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rockhurst University. 

Jane is the parent of three young men. Her son Ben, 30, has a developmental disability, and is supported to make his own choices and decisions in his good life. Jane is a strong supporter of community inclusion, working closely in her community to promote inclusive practices. 

Jane’s good life consists of spending time with family, especially her husband and sons.  She will soon gain a daughter-in-law and looks forward to future grandchildren (in addition to her 2 bonus grands in Iowa).  Jane is a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs (Super Bowl champions!!) football fan and also enjoys Royals baseball.  She is quite competitive in Fantasy Football leagues with family and friends!  In her spare time Jane enjoys music, shopping, reality TV, and reading historical fiction, especially from the WW2 era.  Jane lives in Excelsior Springs Missouri with her husband Tom, son Ben and Izzi the Boxer.
